ECO4 is a government-backed scheme designed to help UK homeowners and tenants improve their energy efficiency at no cost. The initiative, funded by £4 billion, runs from 2022 to 2026 and aims to upgrade homes with insulation, heating systems, and renewable technologies, reducing carbon emissions and lowering energy bills.

The scheme requires approved Trustmark installers to carry out improvements, ensuring high-quality and safe installations. Homeowners and tenants on means-tested benefits or child benefits (subject to income thresholds) are eligible. Private landlords can also apply for first-time central heating and renewable technologies, though gas boiler upgrades are excluded.

As part of the initiative, qualified Retrofit Assessors evaluate properties, and all installations come with Insurance Backed Guarantees for added security.

Boiler installers are helping customers access ECO4 grants, ensuring they receive fully-funded energy upgrades.
